8BitLit reveals touch-based Super Mario lamp

If your gleaming obsession with all-things Nintendo has dulled somewhat in recent times, perhaps what you need is a gimmicky room lamp that puts ‘geekdom’ in a whole new light.

Crafted by 8BitLit, the hanging lamp functions via a touch-sensitive base, which not only turns the light on and off but also re-creates the authentic sound effects caused whenever Mario leaps up into an in-game coin block.

Aptly called the Super Mario Coin Block lamp, the 6x6x6-inch game-themed gadget is available through 8BitLit’s official Etsy online store and costs $74.99 USD.
