Atlus announces pre-order bonus for Game of Thrones
With season one of HBO’s Game of Thrones rapidly approaching its DVD release date, third-party publisher Atlus has this week moved to build anticipation in the videogame version of the George R. R. Martin’s epic adventure.
More pointedly, fantasy fans that choose to pre-order Game of Thrones will receive a limited edition hardback ‘Visuals from the RPG’ art book, which boasts 64 full-color pages packed with sketches, renders, photos, and screenshots.
Beyond such obvious points of attraction, the exclusive book also includes rare, behind-the-scenes extras such as a portrait of the Cyanide Studios development team, and even a special message from Martin himself.
“Game of Thones: Visuals from the RPG represents one of the most elaborate, expensive bonuses we have ever offered,” commented Tim Pivinicy, vice president of Sales and Marketing at Atlus.
“Everything about this premium art book is above and beyond the typical pre-order bonus, and all at no additional cost to the consumer,” he added.
Game of Thrones will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Games for Windows this coming May 15. The pre-order bonus will be available through Amazon, GameStop, EB Games, and the HBO Shop.
