GAME and Gamestation to offer PS Vita preview units

In yet more PlayStation Vita news, Sony is giving prospective buyers valuable hands-on time with the groundbreaking device by furnishing 600 outlets of GAME and Gamestation with in-store preview units.

According to Sony Computer Entertainment UK, each store is to receive a pre-launch PlayStation Vita with which managers and staff can thoroughly familiarize themselves before then—quite literally—handing the experience to customers.

“PlayStation Vita is an amazing piece of technology, but the very best way to make people realize this, is by putting it in their hands,” trumpeted Sony Computer Entertainment boss Fergal Gara in a statement.

“The beauty and clarity of the 5.0-inch OLED [touch] screen, the ergonomic design with the dual analogue joysticks, the interaction of the rear touch panel, all come emphatically to life,” he added.

So, if you happen to be passing a GAME or Gamestation outlet betwixt now and February 22 (the official Vita release date for Europe), why not pop in and check out Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Reality Fighters, WipEout 2048, Little Deviants, and Everybody’s Golf.

All of the aforementioned titles will be on show… it’s not like we just pulled those names from our game-loving asses.
