Nintendo eShop update includes retro Bionic Commando

Expanding the range and reach of its virtual videogame content a little further, Nintendo has today announced a selection of new software for its official online eShop store.

The latest update consists of retro scroller Bionic Commando for the 3DS ($3.99 USD), Cake Ninja for the 3DS and DSi ($4.99 USD), and the somewhat unusually titled 8-bit VVVVVV for 3DS ($7.99 USD). All of them are fully downloadable.

Bionic Commando: When the Federation’s greatest soldier is captured when infiltrating the enemy Doraize Army and investigating the development of a powerful super-weapon, elite commando Rad Spencer is sent in to save his missing comrade.

Cake Ninja: This casual game invites you to slide the stylus across the screen to slice cakes into small pieces like a true ninja warrior. The more cakes you slice, the longer you stay around.

VVVVVV: There’s something terribly wrong in an alternate dimension. Help Captain Viridian flip to find five new crew members, locate 20 hard-to-reach Trinkets and save a dimension on the brink of destruction.

Nintendo’s online additions also include DSiWare title Slingo Supreme and WiiWare game Carmen Sandiego Adventures in Math: The Big Ben Burglary.
